FORTUNE COOKIES

Last night, I had an idea for my husband's Christmas gift!  We eat Chinese food a LOT!  He loves Chinese food!  For our wedding, we dipped fortune cookies in chocolate as our favors.  So today, I made 33 fortune cookies out of felt.  He is a Christmas Day Baby, and this year he will be 33.  I made 33 personalized fortunes for him to open Christmas morning, then strung them to create a fortune cookie garland!
1-33!  Below, I have step by step directions with pictures of how I made them.  You can also go to Martha Stewart's page and find directions to make them.

1.  Cut a circle about 4" diameter.

2.  Glue pipecleaner down the middle, leaving room on both sides.

3.  Add your fortune in the middle.

4.  Fold in half with a dot of glue at the edge where the two meet.

5.  Fold the cookie in half, as you pulled both ends.

Have fun making fortunes!

Gifts....

Christmas shopping....I am, as of today, finished besides the stocking stuffers!  I am way ahead of the game this year.  Thank goodness!  I didn't worry about price comparing or if I was getting a good price.  I knew my regular prices and sale prices.  The legos for the kids....I really didn't worry about.  We always have a hard time finding the ones that they want, so this year we bought them all in September to avoid that problem.  So, if anyone needs help with their wrapping, call me.  I'll be available!

All Cameron wants for Christmas....

....is his one front tooth!

FAMILY

I am so happy to have my family.  They are the joy of my life.  I love each and every one of them in many different ways, but always as much as each other.  Together, we create one big family of 5 with love and happiness.

Hockey and A Christmas Story House....

Cameron had a great time at his first hockey practice!  The coaches were very nice and decided that he was fantastic at defense!  They said he was very aggressive in trying to get the ball and made Cameron be on defense most of the time.  They were great encouraging him to "Come on, Cameron!  Get that ball away from them!"  Then Cameron would and they praised him.  It was a really good practice and first day for him.
After practice, we headed in the car since my in-laws were visiting from out of town to go to visit "A Christmas Story House" in Cleveland.  My husband and his family LOVE the movie.  I warned them though that the outside scenes were only shot there and the rest in Canada.  The kids had a great time remembering parts from the movie.
My husband Josh got the chance to be the dad and receive the blue bowling ball in his lap.
Ryan held the Red Rider BB Gun and acted like he was the coolest man around!
Then he got under the sink like Randy to hide from dad.
Then he fell in love with Randy's bed upstairs, saying it was so soft.  Hahaha.
Ryan, also, read the Orphan Annie comic on the toilet and played with the decoder pin.
Our special highlight of the day was that we met Ian Petrella, a.k.a. "Randy".  We got his autograph and took pictures with him.  Though, I should have gotten a picture of Ryan with him since we always say that Ryan kind of acts like Randy from the movie.
After being inside, we went around back to check out everything outside.
Before leaving, we decided to be funny, even though this was not the flagpole.  Each kid pretended to have their tongue stuck to the flagpole.
But Cameron being as silly as he is....

Actually stuck his tongue to the flagpole!  Crazy kid!

Heading to Hockey and A Christmas Story House

We are headed to the first day of practice for Cameron for deck hockey.  He has been looking forward to this day for about a month.  Hope he is not the littlest kid there.  Then, following the practice, we are headed to the "Christmas Story House" in Cleveland.  Pictures and stories to follow.

A Mad Hatter, A Ninja, and Billy the Exterminator

Halloween here was a wet one!  At least the kids were in good spirits and the rain was not coming down hard.  This was the first year trick-or-treating without my baby girl Haley.  She did get dressed up, but went out with her friends.  My sister came over to help with the costumes and makeup.  It was a lot of fun.  Josh didn't miss out either.  He arrived half way through.
